VEX Robotics

For the Robotics students second and third years of study they will be using the VEX IQ and the larger scale VEX EDR robot platforms. Both of these robotic platforms are used to further the students increased knowledge of basic computer programming concepts.

Students will learn:

  • Programming with “drag and drop”

  • Programming traditional line programming

  • Sensors

  • The design and use of Mechanical Devices (such as claws and scoops)

The VEX course is taught in a fully equipped and newly updated PC lab.Like all of our robotics classes the VEX is a hands-on course, which means students are learning by doing. The second and third years of robotics is when students have a greater ability to take part in local and national competitions.
